From the drama of the high mountains, to the verdant green valleys, gentle lakes and teeming waterfalls and rivers, Snowdonia has it all. Added to this the weather is often full of drama and amazing light too - a real photographers paradise.
Despite the rugged terrain, this workshop is accessible to all as the locations are chosen carefully to suit all fitness levels.

You can choose whether to join us for one day or two – but you will need to make that choice at the time of booking. If you choose one day only, this can be either day but bear in mind you would need to arrive very early for the Day 2 shoot - or miss out on this sunrise shoot.

The itinerary will need to be flexible to make the most of the British weather - particularly in the Snowdonia range where the weather moves quickly and can be quite different within a short radius. We will therefore choose from a range of high quality locations such as Snowdon itself (low level to enable all fitness levels to participate), Tryfan, the Glyders and the river Llugwy, the Aberglaslyn gorge, and various of the glorious snowdonia lakes such as Mymbyr, Idwal and Lydaw. If the weather is particluarly poor we may need to move to the coast near Caernarfon, or to Anglesey where it is often much better.

Arrival & Departure Details
Start times will vary with the seasons but you can expect a full day - with a break for a meal - including the golden hour and sunset. If you opt for two days you can also expect to do sunrise the following morning (unless you'd rather not get out of bed, it's not compulsory!) We will finish at around 5pm on day 2 to enable you to get home - or earlier if you need to.

Meet at The Pinnacle Cafe in Capel Curig (at the junction of the A4086 and A5 - time to be notified approx 10 days prior to the workhop
Depart between 5 - 6 pm on Day 2 to enable people to get home.
For most of the year we will aim to do both a sunrise and sunset shoot as long as the weather is looking promising.
(N.B. From April15th to Aug 31st we will do either sunrise or sunset not both. This is because of the lateness of the sunset on day 1. Experience has shown me that most participants are simply too exhausted to manage both sunrise and sunset when they don't finish until gone 9 pm at the earliest.)

There are plenty of B&B's and hotels in Llanberis at a wide range of prices, so you should have no difficulty in finding something that fits your pocket. A web search will work well for this or alternatively go to
